Introducing Kevin Robbie, CEO United Way Australia
Kevin Robbie is the CEO of United Way Australia who seek to bring business, philanthropy, government and the social purpose sector together to work with community to tackle complex social problems primarily focused on early intervention work in education and employment. Prior to being with United Way, Kevin was Executive Director at Social Ventures Australia where he led their Employment Strategy for seven years, gaining a reputation as expert in innovative approaches to tackling challenges of long-term unemployment. He is a writer and speaker at national and international conferences. Prior to moving to Australia eight years ago, Kevin was CEO of Forth Sector (one of the UK’s leading social enterprises) and was an adviser to both the Scottish Government and the UK Government Cabinet Office.

The world of work is changing rapidly and young people growing up in postcodes of disadvantage face a series of barriers to making a successful transition from school to work.
