While most workplaces are negatively concerned about employing people with mental health issues Flourish Australia (RichmondPRA) has found that purposefully employing people with lived experience of mental health issues and recovery has vastly improved the capabilities and morale of their workplace. Hear how this has happened and how this assertive employment has ensured Flourish has positioned itself as an employee of choice for highly professional, hardworking staff and managers. Flourish Australia is a beacon for other employers. It shines the light on the golden capabilities and possibilities of staff, managers and senior managers who had once been long term unemployed.
The 3rd Annual Australian Long-Term Unemployment Conference will be held on 1 – 2 December 2016 at the Mercure Brisbane. This year’s theme is Finding Solutions and focuses on business working together with employment facilitators and agencies to create positive outcomes for Australia’s long-term unemployed.
