Gigsters – Any Age or Ability Employees, Experts and Entrepreneurs
The 2018 National Employment Solutions Conference will be held at Twin Towns Services Club, Tweed Heads, NSW next month over the 8th – 9th October.
The conference provides the opportunity to be involved through presenting, learning, engaging, networking and collaborating with other professionals within the employment sector.
Joining us at the conference is Ms Sue Ellson, Founder and Director at 120 Ways Publishing who will present on ‘Gigsters – Any Age or Ability Employees, Experts and Entrepreneurs’.
The concept of ‘gigs’ is not new to a musician, an artist or a tradesperson. However, as the industrial age comes to a close and the technological age begins, the nature of employment in 2018 and beyond has also changed.
Young people and older people are having to adjust to the new gig economy. People with unique abilities now have the opportunity, thanks to technology, to contribute in more meaningful ways.
Employee personas are changing. Experts are developing niches in multiple verticals. Entrepreneurs are often freedom hunters and social change crusaders.
Gigsters are the people who have developed a unique range of soft skills, technological competency and powerful lifestyle strategies to cope with the demands of the Gig Economy.
This workshop will help participants:
> discuss in small groups the ways to empower gigsters with soft skills
> develop their own digital competency (with 10 top tips for LinkedIn)
> identify in pairs, lifestyle strategies that provide maximum potential for themselves and their clients
Each participant in the workshop will also receive a complimentary digital copy of the book ‘Gigsters’ by Sue Ellson, published 2018.
